Lolla is one of Singapore’s first restaurants to specialize in small-plate dining, and it consistently produces wonderful Mediterranean dishes. One of the most well-known flavors here is the rich sea urchin pudding made with squid ink and topped with lobes and halves of uni. The wine list at Lolla is also worth considering.

- Influences of the Mediterranean
Like the homey atmosphere of this cozy restaurant.Luvena K
Recommend the Kale and Cauliflower as side dishes and the Fish with crispy capers. Try the sea urchin pudding but do it as a shared dish as the pudding may get a tad heavy.

Amazing steak, amazing burger and amazing wagyu don. Ordered all 3 of their mains because we couldn’t decide what to get and we didn’t regret. The steak was amazing and it melts, the rice from the don was so good we couldn’t get enough of it and I am biased towards burgers.
The staff was really nice too! They gave me free pickles when I said i liked them cos the pickles were great and I’m not usually a pickle person.Yeo Poh Seng

The restaurant’s décor and ambiance are reminiscent of the charming cafés tucked away in Paris’ corners, evoking a Parisian atmosphere as rich as the chef’s French Onion Soup. The décor has a classic look about it, which hasn’t altered in the restaurant’s decades-long history.
L’Angélus has remained faithful to the high standard of offering excellent genuine French cuisine with courteous service. Their menu offers everything from traditional to classic French cuisine, including the best of French food.
- French Experience
- Fresh ingredients of the highest quality
- Exhaustive selection of French wines
This was my second time dining here. Really enjoyed their set lunch menu the first time. Came back for dinner and was not disappointed. The ambience in the day and evening were both lovely.
Service was just as swell. Wish I got the name of one of the waiters who was very funny on both occasions and simply a pleasure to interact with.
The food portions are generous yet maintain a French lightness to the palate. I really enjoyed the steak frites and tuna tartare. The dessert was quite sweet but quite nice too. I found the catch of the day- ocean trout – a bit too strong for my liking, but it was paired beautifully with the sauce and sides.
A lovely experience. Will be back.Bianca Tham

The Cafe offers elegant and cozy dining experiences, with a focus on quality. In fact, it has already established itself as one of the city’s best spots for brunch! The Cafe is known for its warm atmosphere, friendly bar staff, excellent food and wine list that reflect an owner-operated business.
In the afternoon, it’s a fantastic spot to escape the heat, but come at night for a completely romantic atmosphere. You won’t go wrong with some of their double chocolate blackout cake or sticky date pudding either.
- Unique location
- Situated within two heritage shophouses

Always enjoy this place. Nice high end chain. Food is more than the run of the mill cafe chain. Staff are pleasant and the location is great. Good decor gives a nice vibe. Portions are generous and the menu changes with the board specials. Not cheap, but reasonable for the quality. Will be back…Steve R

Iced chocolate has a good flavour and best of all doesn’t have sugar. Definitely a place to return as we were also told they’d have a seasonal menuNigel K

The term “bar” in its name is a misnomer. The name of this full-fledged French eatery is a play on the French word “baratin,” which means smooth talk. Francois Mermilliod, who formerly worked at Absinthe, provides a wide range of seafood dishes at his casual restaurant, and supplies are purchased from ethical sources.
Simply tell them how much you have to spend and what kinds of foods you can or cannot eat, and they will take care of the rest.

In a good way, Nutmeg & Clove is as Singaporean as a cocktail bar can get.
The food at Nutmeg & Clove differs from typical Japanese restaurants in that it is very focused on eras throughout local history, beginning with our founding as a trading outpost and continuing through to the Japanese Occupation. Its décor is also quite reminiscent of yesteryear, with vintage school photos, posters, and a Chinese medicine cabinet as a bar counter.
