Established by two passionate individuals, The Better Half is the birth of their dreams. They are “The Better Half” simply because they look at how bakes and coffees complement each other, thereby being each others’ better half. These individuals also happen to be each others’ better half!
After 1.5 years of running their bakery online since March 2018, they have now achieved their dream of establishing a bakery coffee shop where they can serve artisan bakes and speciality coffee offline. This allows everyone to step into their humble space feeling like home. Every bake and beverage The Better Half makes is carefully made from scratch with their bare hands. Thus putting authenticity and love into every knead and every fold – so as to provide honest and real fare.

Delightful bakes and excellent coffee. Visiting pretty early in the morning, the place was totally empty, though still inviting. They were offering a special, cinnamon knots (which they were calling cinnamon rolls). The bread on the knots was spectacular: a delicate crumb that was neither too sweet nor too rich, perfectly accentuated by the cinnamon-sugar filling. I also tried two of their loaves, banana walnut and pear crumble. Both bakes were superbly executed: the banana was fragrant but not overwhelming, with the walnut offering the perfect complement in both texture and taste. The pear was delicate but still managed to make its voice heard through the other flavours, including the buttery (but again, not too rich) crumb topping. Plus they serve espresso-based coffee beverages, courtesy of PPP Coffee, one of my favourites. Definitely going back soon!
