Epigram Books is a small independent publisher that began as a branch of the multiple award-winning communications design firm Epigram. To promote Singaporean literature, the bookstore was incorporated as a distinct company in 2011. Since then, Epigram Books has published a wide range of fiction and non-fiction, ranging from novels to picture books, memoirs to cookbooks, and graphic novels to poetry.

Basheer Graphics is a bookstore that sells architecture, interior design, landscape design, graphic design, animation, product design, fashion design, art & craft, typography, and photography related books and periodicals. They have a Bargain Books collection, in which you may buy their books at a reduced cost.
After three years here on the Island, I’ve finally found a brilliant bookshop with very competitive prices. I have found books in Singapore incredibly expensive compared to prices in the U.K., so stumbling upon Basheer Graphic books made my day. This is a specialist shop however, you won’t find the same materials as in general bookshops, but great for interiors, photography, art and design as well as philosophy. The choice of books is varied, with some rare and beautiful coffee table finds. Allow yourself time to browse through the wonderfully organised shelves, and perhaps leave little ones at home! The Grassroots Book Room is a Singaporean independent Chinese bookshop that has been in business since 1995. It began in a modest bookshop on the National Library grounds and eventually settled in a charming location on Bukit Pasoh Road. Grassroots Book Room promotes Chinese reading among Singaporeans by offering a large selection of books in a variety of categories.
Beautiful bookstore that carries mainly Chinese and some English books. There is also a small cafe at the back.

a wonderful resource for rare and hard to find books from Singapore and Asia in general. ordered a couple of rare books and they were delivered at my doorstep in good condition within a few days. one of the staff Veronica sent a message a few hours prior to let me know when they would be arriving, which i appreciated.

The Zall Bookstore, which has four bookstores in Hubei, China, is finally launching its first overseas outpost in Singapore. The Singapore bookstore’s lush, black-and-white interior design is based on calligraphy and Jiangnan Watertown’s architecture, with an arch that looks like a river bridge.
