Samy’s Curry, an ancient Indian curry house that doesn’t rely on its atmosphere or décor for business, has a chaotic open ambiance (a mess hall and a verandah), shuttered windows, and ceiling fans. So, why is it always packed? Of course, the food! This will be your go-to combination when you order a mountain of biryani rice drenched in the resto’s distinctive fish head curry with chunks of chicken masala and fish cutlet on the side. Because the restaurant isn’t air-conditioned, a glass of lime juice is your best option for cooling off.

I love everything about this place in the context of local authenticity. Reasonable price, atmosphere, interior, service.
