Knee Brace Singapore
The knee is one of the most important joints in your body. If you have knee problems, it can lead to knee pain and knee injuries. A knee brace can help stabilize your knee joint while also providing support for weak or injured knees. Knee braces come in many different designs, but which are the best? Read on to find out!
Key Considerations Factors
- Size: Be sure that the knee brace you choose is the appropriate size for your leg. To guarantee that there are no gaps in the fit, measure the circumference of your leg with a tape measure.
- Breathability: If you want to reduce sweating and heat accumulation while wearing braces, look for ones that are composed of materials that can be breathed through and have sufficient ventilation.
- Compression: Choose knee braces that provide enough compression to support your knee but also let you have full range of motion in your knee joint. The allowance of an excessive amount of movement might result in instability and harm.
- Durability: Make sure the support is well-built and made of materials that are durable so that it can endure extensive use and the normal wear and tear of everyday life.
- Comfort: You should look for a leg brace that provides a comfortable fit on your leg and does not result in any pain, such as chafing or skin irritation.

I am old enough to have some arthritis in my knees and this knee brace (actually I wear one on each knee when I run) holds everything straight up and down while running so that what is left of my cartilage works the best it can and I run pain-free. If I didn’t wear these while running, I would be seriously debilitated in a week or two. I’ve been using these for over 5 years and buy new ones every year and half or so (the Velcro wears out when used daily week in and week out). Great braces!

I’ve lost most of the cartilage in my knee and the pain has limited me on the volleyball court. This knee support has made a huge difference, though. MUCH less pain both during play and afterward and it is very comfortable to wear. Dries quickly as well and doesn’t get sweaty while I play. The fit was very good – in fact it matched the measurements so well that it is too tight on my other leg (which is not injured and has more muscle). Surprisingly, this didn’t help much with just walking which puts mostly vertical pressure on my leg. I wear it during biking, elliptical, weights and volleyball, though, and it does a great job.

- Soft knee guard with hard shell shin sliders
I have tried several different products to protect my knees and shins and couldn’t find anything that was both comfortable and functional. I decided to try the Leatt 3DF Hybrid Knee Guard because I like the idea of have a soft protection around my knee with the hard protection on my shin. I was a little skeptical of the soft knee, but, based on other reviews, decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did. I wore these riding in Moab for 2 consecutive days, and even though I rode all day for both days, I did not even notice they were there. My experience with other knee guards is that after about 45-60 minutes, they start to cut in to the back of my knees. Not these. Like I said, I didn’t even notice they were there. I crash tested them 3 times, and they held up very well. They didn’t slip at all, like some will. Make sure you go to Leatt’s website and follow their guidelines for determining what size to get.

Well thought out and extremely heavy duty design and build quality. This unit is significantly more substantial than McDavids less expensive braces (which are also excellent). After using this unit for a few months now, as well as using McDavids lighter weight braces in the past, I will warn that this brace is truly intended for heavy duty or extreme applications in my opinion, like serious basketball players, tennis players and runners. Not professionals mind you but dedicated club-level players and runners. I make this statement as a direct result of using it at least three times per week playing tennis. This unit is quite thick and rigid, and doesn’t allow for a lot of movement, unless you’re really pressing the brace for support, like sprinting across the tennis court to return a shot or training for a half or full marathon.
When evaluating the purchase price and return on investment, it is my opinion that this knee brace cannot be beat for the money. It’s built like a tank and is well conceived. It really performs very well. If however your needs lean more towards supporting a mild injury, you may wish to purchase one of McDavids less expensive models. The ones that are much lighter in design and construction.

I’m a guy and I wear these as I’m often diving on the court. These are fantastic knee pads and they fit really well, rarely have to adjust them during play, I’m 5’10” relatively muscular legs. I really appreciate it them when I’m just warming up and end up putting a knee down and I notice they are not there, 5 minutes later I’m sprawled out on the floor and I don’t even feel the impact on my knees. I also have not gotten any melting from the friction of sliding on the court as some other pairs have.
I read some of the negative reviews before buying and they are mostly from people that use them for carpentry… which I still think they would be great worn under the pants, as I do a little myself. I would like to point out that they say “Volleyball Kneepad” and for that purpose you will be hardpressed to find better ones for the price.

These I swear these save us tons of injury and doctors fees. My daughter is extremely aggressive in her play. She has been wearing this brand since 4th grade and now she is a freshman. We burn through a pair every year. Let me tell you they get worked. She is a shorty but will take a foul from the tall girls like a champ. There is no way she would play like she does without these. Absolutely worth what you pay to stay healthy. They stay up with only a little adjusting during the game. They look nice and keep the knees safe.
