I did lasik about a week ago at LSC with Dr Marc Tay. I was referred to them by many of my peers. They have all had positive experiences so I came. I started out doing the eye tests and registration which took about an hour or so. I did lasik on the same day. Honestly quite a bit of waiting in between for my pupils to constrict before I could do lasik. But the actual procedure took like 5-8min or so? Very comfortable with no pain! Was apprehensive at first and didnt know what to expect but Dr Tay was v assuring and swift with his procedure throughout.
It’s been a week and I was told my vision is at about 80+% right now, which will slowly become 100% in perhaps a month or two. Honestly everything is already pretty clear. My eyes do get a little dry from time to time, but i swear that it was drier with my contact lenses on in the past. I’ve never left any google reviews before but because it was overall a very positive and life-changing experience therefore I’m leaving a review to hopefully help more people with their decision making process. 🙂Yi Ying Ng

Went to Dr Pang’s clinic today for a second opinion on an eye condition that I’ve been having for weeks. Other clinics kept insisting I needed surgery. Her professionalism and expertise was indeed very much appreciated. It’s no wonder she came highly recommended to me. Thank you Dr Pang. Truly am grateful & blessed that I went to you today.Jase

I went for an eye infection first and felt that he is a trustworthy doctor so decided to do pre-LASIK assessment here. Unfortunately my eyes were not really suitable for LASIK, and he was very honest to tell me that I can still go for it if I don’t mind taking a risk but he recommended not to. I paid just $25 for the assessment. He really cares about his patients and I appreciate his advice.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
If you have any questions about Ophthalmologist in Singapore, you can refer to the frequently asked questions (FAQ) about the best Ophthalmologists in Singapore below:
What are the qualifications of the best Ophthalmologists in Singapore?
The best ophthalmologists in Singapore are experts with a lot of training and international credentials from an accredited medical school or optometry school. They have gone through a lot of training and been certified in their fields, such as eye exams, laser surgeries, treatments for presbyopia, etc. These ophthalmologists also make use of cutting-edge technologies and techniques to ensure that patients get the best possible treatments from a registered medical or osteopathic doctor. They can provide the best medical and surgical services for vision disorders, sight stealing eye disease, eye and vision care, Lasik surgery, corneal transplantation, retinal detachment, corrective lenses and regular primary vision care.
How is an eye exam performed?
A complete medical eye exam from a registered medical doctor includes a number of different tests to check your eyesight and eye health. During an eye exam, you will be asked by eye doctors to look at images or letters on a chart and answer questions about them. Additionally, you may need special testing equipment like refractors to measure your vision more accurately or slit-lamp biomicroscopes used to evaluate certain parts of the eyes like the cornea, iris, lens and retina. This is to ensure healthy vision or correct vision problems by dispensing corrective lenses and treat eye diseases.
What is Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) Treatment?
Answer: AMD is a condition where damage occurs in the macula – the part of your eye responsible for sharp central vision used for activities such as reading or recognizing faces. It can affect both adults and children, but it is most common in people over the age of 50. AMD treatment involves medications such as anti-VEGF injections, which help reduce swelling from VEGF proteins released by damaged cells due to AMD, as well as laser photocoagulation, which helps seal any leaking blood vessels or scar tissue caused by AMD. Specialized clinics like Dr Leo Adult & Paediatric Eye Specialist offer these treatments alongside other therapies aimed at improving your quality of life if you suffer from this condition.
What is Glaucoma Treatment?
Glaucoma is an incurable but treatable condition that affects the optic nerve and can lead to vision loss if left untreated, so early detection through regular examinations is important for managing it effectively. Treatment typically includes medications such as eyedrops that help reduce pressure in the eyes as well as laser surgery, which aims to improve fluid flow away from the eyes, thus relieving pressure inside them without causing damage to their fragile structures over time, otherwise known as glaucoma drainage implants (GDI).
