1. Wursthans Switzerland

Key ServicesSwiss restaurant
Address10 Paya Lebar Road, #01-39 Paya Lebar Quarter, Singapore 409057
Operating HoursDaily: 11:30am – 9pm

How many have previously eaten in a Swiss restaurant? Considering the variety of possibilities available, hardly many. In the Paya Lebar Quarter, Wursthans Switzerland is among the few all-day casual Swiss dining concepts.

Of course, Rosti is the main attraction. You can combine their famous sausages with your crispy rosti at Wursthans by creating your own Swiss meal. The Gotthard, a rosti topped with smoked pig cervelat sausage, caramelized onions, and a fried egg, is another option.

Key Differentiators

  • Casual dining concept
  • Focusing on classic Swiss specialities
  • Serves up the best rösti in town

Customer Testimonial

Great alternative to Marche’s rosti for price. $16.90 for 1 rosti, 2 sides and 1 sauce! I’m a savory person but found today’s rosti too salty, but not a deal breaker (will come back to try again). Decent portion, no-fuss ordering and service. Small 20 seater space both indoor and outdoors. Highly recommend the meatloaf and bacon – very thick!

Even though Coucou’s meals are more expensive than some of the other choices on this list, how could we leave out one of Singapore’s most authentic Swiss eateries in a list regarding rosti?

The Rosti Saucisse de Saint-Gall comes with veal sausage and onion confit. The Rosti Zermatt, on the other hand, is a delicious option for cheese aficionados and is topped with sumptuous melted Swiss raclette cheese and ham.

Amazing hidden spot in Chinatown. If you fancy some proper Swiss food this place is definitely a must go to! We ordered a cheese fondue, some side dishes and a dessert to share. All so tasty and good portions! Credits to Linda for recommending the really nice wine and food. Staff was friendly and professional.
We come back for sure!
Thanks a lot!

Bread First Everyday is a Western stall in Kovan selling all-day brunch dishes that is inspired by the café culture. It is owned by the same people who own the cult favorites Qi Xiang Chicken Pot and Qi Xiang Hotpot.

Out of all the reasonable full breakfast platters offered, the Rosti Platter with rosti, eggs, smoked pork bratwurst, and a garden salad is what I’d most like to wake up to on the weekends.

Love this place!! Such good food & good service but be prepared it’s not cheap (reasonable but not cheap). You must make a reservation in advance as they stay fully booked. We typically get the Jerusalem, Shakshouka and/or Korean Beef which are all amazing but recently have tried the Gallic, pancakes and various pastries which are all super tasty.

This is a perfect place to go for family breakfast/brunch or lunch. The atmosphere is really chilled and the seating is really comfy (sofas & cushion chairs). They have a free flow champagne option if you are interested.

Highly recommend

Key Differentiators

  •  Western grill restaurants since 2004
  • Serving affordable and quality western cuisine
  • Multiple locations

Customer Testimonial

Value-for-money western food and fantastic service. During lunch hours, for dine-in, an upgrade to set meal with soup, bread and a drink is free. Having tried their BBQ chicken, country fried chicken and fish, I would say that their country fried chicken really stood out in terms of taste as compared to other western food stalls that I have tried so far.

Overall, this is one of the best western food stalls/restaurants that I have eaten at.

9. Marché Mövenpick

Another obvious choice on our list, Marché is the place to go to satiate any rösti cravings thanks to its many locations’ convenience. Choosing the rösti in its purest form, simple with a dollop of sour cream on the side, will give you the best value for your money.

The potato pancake that is given is quite huge and will undoubtedly fill you up. Another smart choice would be to order other dishes from Marché to accompany the rösti and share it with your pals.

Key Differentiators

Customer Testimonial

One of the places that serve great tasting food and is always consistent with its taste and quality.

They have a good spread of continental food that is served without short changing you on quality and taste. The pizza and pasta are on point, the rosti and sausages are perfectly done. Don’t forget about the mushroom soup and salads are great. The grilled and roast meats section has a German platter.

The deserts are also very well done to perfection and never fails to put a smile on anyone with a sweet tooth.

Over all a good restaurant with good value.

10. MUNCH Saladsmith & Rotisserie

Key ServicesSalad shop

They have consumed rösti with smoked salmon, cheese sausages, and bratwurst. You have even more choices at MUNCH, including the rösti with roasted chicken, the rösti with dory fillet, and the rösti with a salmon slab.

It was pretty crowded during the peak lunch time but we managed to order and dine with the efficient service. Ordered the Dory fish with Broccoli and Teriyaki chicken salad. Tasted great and healthy! Will go back again to try their Rosti. 🙂
