The Agathians Shelter is devoted to meeting the educational, nutritional, and healthcare needs of children who have been deprived of education during their childhood. Mr. Siva Balan established the Agathians Shelter in order to rescue eight boys from a closed orphanage in 2003.

The goal of the Sabah Wetlands Conservation Society is to preserve its wetlands through research, advocacy, and education. Otherwise known as the Kota Kinabalu Wetlands (KKW), there are several volunteer opportunities available, including environmental education for all ages and exhibition spaces that you could help with.

What’s appealing about the KKW community is that you may actually become a “Voluntary Guardian” and administer the marshes.
