If you’re okay with spending more on real French food cuisine, we suggest Rhubarb Le Restaurant. It’s a tiny restaurant in Duxton Hill that can take fine dining to a new level — albeit at a higher price.

When we say that it’s a tiny restaurant, we mean it literally. Rhubarb has only seven tables in its dining area, which creates a peaceful, tranquil, and intimate eating experience.

The greatest thing about being a little dining area is that every client will get personalized service. There are no delays in service since the chefs are only preparing meals for a few.

Customers who dine at Rhubarb may watch the chefs work in the open-plan kitchen as they wait for their meals to arrive. Chef Paul, head of Rhubarb’s culinary team, is a chef with a distinct French cuisine approach.

For set lunch, you have the option of a three- or four-course meal, both of which are heavy on fruits and vegetables. It’s ideal if you’re looking for some classic French cuisine as a vegetarian.

The majority of weeks are booked up for rhubarb, so we recommend making a reservation if you want to dine in peace. It’s simple to make an appointment, but waiting for confirmation may take some time.

Key Differentiators

  • Authentic French cuisine
  • Relaxing and intimate ambiance
  • Great customer service
  • Open plan kitchen

Customer’s Review

Beautifully crafted dishes that were both a feast to the eyes and to the palate. Each dish was complex and flavourful but not too overbearing on the senses. Staff were very genial and attentive. Had the lunch set and it was very filling. All in all a really pleasant meal.

Leroy is a Michelin-starred restaurant in Singapore that offers modern interpretations of classic French foods.

Then there’s its namesake chef, Lerouy, who leads the culinary team. He is a renowned French chef from Alsace, France, who has worked in Abu Dhabi, Marrakech, Los Angeles, and Shanghai’s top restaurants.

It also has an open-kitchen design, which allows guests to be amused while waiting for their orders, then you will be able to observe how your dinner is prepared by professional and experienced chefs.

Lerouy’s lunch and dinner offerings are subject to change, so each dining experience will be unique. You can just pop in once a month and enjoy a new set of French cuisine every time.

Key Differentiators

Customer’s Review

Had a wonderful experience overall with the omakase dinner menu, although it was on the pricier side. We were seated at the private dining area, which was away from the main kitchen so we couldn’t get to see all the action. But the experience was great as we tasted dish after dish of exotic food which we would not normally cook at home. The most memorable dish would be the guineafowl, which tasted like pork and beautifully executed.

There are numerous Indian restaurants in Singapore, but Yantra is one of the few that provides a fine dining experience.

Yantra serves a wide range of Indian cuisine that balances old and modern tastes. It’s also great for vegans and health-conscious people, which is pretty cool.

Yantra has both a la carte and set meals for its lunch and dinner menus, which is excellent news if you’re trying to keep your waistline in check or want to treat yourself every now and then.

Plus all their dishes are prepared with fresh and organic ingredients.

Another thing we noticed about Yantra’s selection is that it has a greater number of vegan choices. Vegan meals, like most others, are more costly than traditional foods.

The interior of Yantra does not disappoint, with its beautiful Indian fusion cuisine and stunning decor. You could discover art hangings on the walls that represent India’s traditional cultures, and the restaurant is spread out with big tables and soft velvet sofas.

Key Differentiators

  • Indian cuisine
  • Vegan options
  • Open for deliveries
  • Easy booking of reservations

Customer’s Review

Ambience and service is very good. I specially love the Golden Temple set which is on their menu currently. Like to visit Yantra because they keep on changing their menu often to give you a taste of food from all over India.

Collin’s Grille has over 23 locations on the island, making it one of Singapore’s most accessible restaurants. There’s no need to travel all the way to another metropolis since there’ll almost certainly be an outlet close by where you are now.

Another factor we selected it for our list is its wide and varied selection of healthy meals, which include salads, pastas, fresh seafood dishes, burgers, pizza, and other popular Western cuisine.

Collin’s Grille may be better known among meat eaters, but that doesn’t mean vegans can’t enjoy its crowd-favorite plates. In collaboration with The Vegetarian Butcher, a prominent plant-based meat supplier, it has recently added plant-based meals to its menu.

When it comes to its set lunch, customers can basically incorporate anything from the restaurant’s comprehensive menu. Given the restaurant’s wide cuisine selections, it may be difficult for some people to choose.

It is also very pleasing with how big its serving portions are, which according to some consumers, can feed up to three people. Its large amount of food makes it ideal for team dinners and other occasions.

Key Differentiators

  • Multiple branches
  • For Delivery
  • Vegan choices
  • Western Cuisine

If you want to pamper yourself with steak for lunch, Wolfgang Steakhouse is another option. It’s well-known for serving delectable, high-quality meats.

Wolfgang Steakhouse, which was founded in 2004 and specializes on USDA Prime Black Angus steaks that are dry-aged for 28 days on site, quickly rose to become one of the island’s top steakhouses.

The restaurant has a long list of high-quality steaks, but there’s more to it than that. Its lunch menu includes salads, seafood dishes, pasta, burgers, sandwiches, and desserts, so it isn’t simply for meat connoisseurs.

Wolfgang Steakhouse offers a wide selection of lunch options, including the deli’s exquisite entrees, as well as an outstanding wine bar collection that includes both new and old-age bottles. After all, a bottle of wine is always preferable with steak, isn’t it?

Customer’s Review

No doubt the best steak that we ever had!! But all this delicious food would not complete without the best companion, Mickey, who served our table. He is friendly, humorous and knowledgeable of the menus!! As first time visitor here, we had the best experiences with Mickey looking over our table!! Thanks Mickey!

The wait and service staff were all very friendly, polite and more importantly professional and very attentive to customers. Small gestures like helping with our chair and belongings show attentiveness and always offering service just when we need it is very impressive.

The food is fantastic, with great depth of flavours. Ingredients were cooked in a way to maintain its own taste while infusing complimentary light enhancements by means of marinates and sauces. Fishes are especially well done. They maintain tenderness, moistness and the fish unique flavours. And yes the Vue/view is beautiful too, overlooking the MBS marina area. pork belly contemporary japanese cuisine korean bbq
