My fav to go lunch place for a rainy day, the signature fish noodles is as good as day 1. Surprised that this Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant is not as busy as expect. The prawn paste chicken n prawn rolls are very nice too.

Yàn has been on my to-try list for a while and we were well pleased with the food! Definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in town. Great ambience coupled with delicate dim sum, well-balanced flavours and food prepared to perfection, literally Chinese fine dining at its best. I will give it a five star for an unpretentious Chinese restaurant in the middle of Cbd area. Reasonable price, good food, dim sum with big prawns. The best part I noticed, they only charge 10% service charge so gst is included I the price !! Recommend the claypot chicken, soft succulent chicken, flavourful cabbage, with gravy that goes perfectly with rice. The brown rice is pretty soft so to make yourself feel better, maybe you should order that!

The interior designs aren’t particularly impressive, especially not when compared to the building’s stunning exterior. Jia Wei is located on the second floor of Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy, which is a little hidden from the glitzy Chinese eateries in Singapore. Jia Wei is somewhat below the radar when compared to other restaurants on this list since it’s away from the bustle of Chinatown. The quality of the food is quite remarkable, and a visit is definitely necessary. Personally, it’s one of my favorite Chinese restaurants because it serves delicious food at a reasonable price.

We had the seasonal hairy crab set and really enjoyed it! The serving staff informed us that we’d be served the soup as the crabs are being steamed. The crabs were big, sweet and juicy. Although a small menu, but every item we ordered was so delicious. Acid test of a good dim sum chef is the Har Gaw – and they passed with flying colours – generous prawn springy prawn filling with Crystal thin skin. Another highlight is the Polo BBQ pork bun is the best I’ve tasted, meat is not too fatty, generous sweet char Siew to compliment the fluffy soft bun with crispy top – and it’s only $6 for three pieces. All in we ordered 6 dim sum with Chinese tea and appetiser, the total came up to $68.

Long time no eat, still very good! Items are special and yet stays close enough to traditions for me. Missed out some photos as I ate them a little too quickly. The dim sum quartet were so cute that I could barely cut it, but too precious to gulp it down! Camphor tea smoke duck was also very tender and yummy. Deep fried bacon roll with enoki mushrooms and king prawns was equally pretty and tasty! Even the Po Luo Bao was pretty good!

Brought my parents here for dim sum with chope 30% off vouchers. The food are great. I like their stir fried carrot cake with xo sauce and salted egg custard bao . Their dim sum are simple and great too. The tea is expensive (3sgd per pax).

We had white rice which came undercooked but we forgave them due to how good everything else was. Noisy and crowded but it was a Friday night so happy we opted for an early dinner. Our only bugbear were the crowds (good for the restaurant but a little worrisome for us in these COVID times). We would have gone back except for that. Excellent service in an intimate and classy Modern Chinese restaurant. The orders were very slow to come but when they did, they wowed us!
I love their rendition of the traditional “Yusheng”, so refreshing, spicy and piquant! Absolutely delicious and whets your appetite. The wagyu beef was tender and full of flavours. Another star dish was the braised goose feet with sea cucumbers, gelatinous and thick goose skin, so soft and so tender.
The service was excellent. The staff explained each dish and even suggest we get rice when he saw the food we ordered. Our tea and water cups were constantly kept full and the manager will occasionally come over to see what we needed.
